Kimberly A. Howsley, MAAT was born and raised in Honolulu, attending St. Patrick School before moving to the mainland for several years with her family. Kimberly received her Bachelor’s degree in International Business in California, a Masters in Fresco Painting in Italy, culminating with a Master of Art in Art Therapy from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on the mainland. While pursuing her degree, Kimberly completed an internship with Hospice Hawaii.
While working on her Masters in Art Therapy, Kimberly focused her research on three main areas, working with geriatric populations, clients recovering from strokes, and brain injured clients of a wide age range.
She developed a program of beach art therapy as part of her studies that applies to all ages and walks of life.
